The Department of Teaching + Learning in Art + Design in the Division of Liberal Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence fall 2025.

TLAD seeks a colleague to enhance and advance the Department's record of innovation, who is committed to playing an active role in supporting forward-thinking art and design education particularly in public schools and community arts education initiatives throughout Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have teaching, administrative, and leadership experience that will strengthen our existing record of animating and rethinking PK-12, collegiate, and community art and design education nationally and internationally. We seek candidates whose scholarly/creative practice and/or teaching centers on works and bodies of knowledge from historically underrepresented communities.
