The Plymouth State University (PSU) "Art Program":https://www.plymouth.edu/academics/our-learning-model/our-learning-model/arts-technologies/ is seeking a collaborative and dedicated colleague to coordinate and teach within the Art Education Program. The candidate needs to be a practicing studio artist who can also teach Studio Art courses, beginning Fall 2021. This is a 9-month, benefitted, non-tenure track position, renewable annually based on performance and need, promotion eligible. The only four year public Art Education licensure program in the state, Plymouth State University offers a B.S. degree in Art Education, grades K-12, and a MAT in Art Education. This program is part of the larger Art department, which includes degrees and minors in Graphic Design, Art, and Art History. We are looking for someone to recruit and retain students, build the program, update the curriculum with the help and guidance of the Art faculty, and establish partnerships with K-12 New Hampshire Art educators. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university. The teaching load is 30-32 credit hours a year.
