The Saint Louis Art Museum is pleased to offer the Romare Bearden Graduate Minority Museum Fellowship program. This 12-month museum fellowship, now in its 26th year, seeks outstanding candidates from backgrounds historically underrepresented in professional positions at art museums and who are more representative of the growing diversity of the American people. The cross-departmental position gives beginning professionals opportunities to work with various departments including possible assignments in research, public programming, interpretive materials development, marketing, curatorial and audience development. Specific assignments are tailored to the Museum’s needs and the Fellow’s skills and interests.
QUALIFICATIONS: Eligible candidates must have completed at least one year of graduate school by June 2017 in art history, art education, museum studies, or related fields. Applicant must have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
The Romare Bearden Fellow receives $33,400 annual salary, full time benefits package along with moving and educational travel allowances.
